Pre-Owned Savage 1899/99 Lever-Action Rifle - .250-3000 Savage
- Early production - Serial number indicates 1915
- No rust or pitting on any of the metal parts
- Barrel and receiver show some bluing wear but is in good shape for a rifle over 110 years old
- Brass dovetailed front sight with elevator flat-top rear site
- Bore looks to be in VERY GOOD condition
- Hand rubbed oil finish on walnut stock with Schnabel forearm is in VERY GOOD condition
- Wood has a few pressure marks and two small cracks on the right-side of the forearm where it seats against the receiver and the swivel stud holes have been filled in
- Fine, hand-cut checkering on pistol grip and forearm
- Original Savage blued steel buttplate with “Savage Quality” indian head logo
