Here is a common but unique Savage 99 rifle in the popular deer hunting cartridge the 300 Sav. serial number 723943 which dates this American icon to a 1951 Mfg date. Comes with the pistol grip stock, factory checkered and factory sling swivels. Beautiful wood with only minor wear marks for a 69 year old rifle, all original blue is in nice condition with minimal wear. now what's unique is the safety's , dual safety's , the original lower tang safety as all 99's have but a rear upper tang was installed by a very talented gunsmith ! The upper rear tang safety's came of age in 1960 but this has both that work together. Set up no doubt for a lefty . the only one I've ever come across and I've been collecting 99's for some time. I've priced this for what it's worth , a rifle that would fit into any ones collection of the fine Savage 99 rifles. I tried to get as many pictures as I could of both. Has standand Savage rear leaf sight, and a bore as fine as the rifle it self.
