This 1959 Beauty retains almost all original blue and stock finish and correct hand checkering to butt stock and forend. and is in truely excellent condition. it does NOT have the often encountered split behind the upper tang nor has it ever been reparied and nor is there any touch up or added finish. Checkering is sharp and crisp and original. Nice case color remains on the lever that is not exposed to the elements The stock was shortened at one time for a pad that was subsequenlty removed and an early Savage Steel butt plate was added (with the Savage indian at the toe) It may be used as it is or have a pad added to bring it back to factory lenght. We have an excellent stock man nearby who can add a pad...inquire about pricing.
