Classic New England Deer Rifle
Excellent and hard to find in 243 Vintage Savage 99F from a time that incorporated all of the best and "newer circa early 60s) features: Still has the handsome factory checkered American Walnut stock set, case colored lever, cocking indicator, cartridge counter and tang safety which was an improvment over the earlier lever safety. This gun is completly original except for the pad and the rear site and front site blade removed to make room for the scope sight picture. The excellent US Made Weaver K4 Wide View is included and is a correct period match to the gun. The Stock was shortened a bit for a younger shooter or smaller person and is about 12 3/4 with a 3/4" pad. Factory had been 13 and then increased to 13 1/2 at some point so this should work nicely as is or if the pad wwere replaced with a 1" standard pad it would be nearer to factory length.
For any who don't know much about these exceptional guns they were the genuis of Arthur Savage and were way ahead of their time and incorporte features (cocking indicator, cartridge counter and rotary lever) that made them unique and special.

Classic New England Deer Rifle
Excellent and hard to find in 243 Vintage Savage 99F from a time that incorporated all of the best and "newer circa early 60s) features: Still has the handsome factory checkered American Walnut stock set, case colored lever, cocking indicator, cartridge counter and tang safety which was an improvment over the earlier lever safety. This gun is completly original except for the pad and the rear site and front site blade removed to make room for the scope sight picture. The excellent US Made Weaver K4 Wide View is included and is a correct period match to the gun. The Stock was shortened a bit for a younger shooter or smaller person and is about 12 3/4 with a 3/4" pad. Factory had been 13 and then increased to 13 1/2 at some point so this should work nicely as is or if the pad wwere replaced with a 1" standard pad it would be nearer to factory length.
For any who don't know much about these exceptional guns they were the genuis of Arthur Savage and were way ahead of their time and incorporte features (cocking indicator, cartridge counter and rotary lever) that made them unique and special.
