.300 Savage
Description:
VERY NICE and ALL Original 99R chamber in the classic 300 Savage cartridge. This gem was mfg in 1951. The R model has the slightly heavier stock and longer, beefier forearm. Factory clip swivel eyes. Metal buttplate. It has the standard 24" barrel of the post war model. Bore is absolutely perfect. Wood has a few light marks with only one fairly deep ding in left side forearm checkering(see pic). Also a very small chip out of bottom tang wood(see pic). I would still rate wood 95%+. Blueing is very good over most of the gun. One group of light abrasions near muzzle under the sight(see pic). Would rate blue 95% factoring the abrasions. Still some distinct case color on lever. Brass cartridge counter still nice and shiny. Just a good honest, nice, unaltered classic 99.
