Savage model 1899A takedown rifle in 30-30. Built in 1910,this rifle has a 26" round barrel with a mint bore. The rifle is in excellent original condition retaining 95% of the original blue and 98% of the original wood finish. The stock is sound with no cracks or damage. The wood has not been refinished. The wood to metal fit is tight and the wood is slightly proud as it should be. The photos shine because I wiped the gun down before taking photos. There are small scuff marks on the right side of the receiver (shown in photo). Otherwise the blue is smooth and bright. This is a fine example of the 1899 in a desirable caliber. Nice enough to put in your collection but not too nice to shoot and enjoy. C&R eligible.
