This gun is stunning. It is basically a standard 1899B with 26" Octagon barrel in .303 Savage caliber. For whatever reason, this gun is stocked (matching numbers, I have removed the forend and butt plate and both have the serial number stamped in and matches serial number) with a deluxe feather crotch walnut Victor grade stock normally found on engraved guns. ( when butt plate was removed, you can see it had a professional restoration of toe chip which is not visible when butt plate is on) It has the deluxe checkering with the flue de lis style on wrist the little flames on the forend with incredible figure and the deluxe piano finish. Barrel retains at least 96% original high polish factory blue while the receiver is probably about 40-50% with flashes of high polish blue mixed with plum. Brilliant case colors on lever. Serial #51680 was made in 1904. Wonderful strong bore and works like new. Lovely 110 year old lever. Also comes with original tang sight. Receiver never tapped and wrist is free of any cracks or repairs.
