Made just after the war, these early EG models were some of the finest 99 rifles ever made. This is a standard 24" round barrel in .250-3000 caliber with the post 1940 hand checkering. This gun is in beautiful condition with all the barrel blue while the receiver retains 90% rich original factory blue finish just starting to plum. 'The top of the receiver has been tapped and plugged. Dark American walnut stock is like nice but has some deer kill marks on forearm. Lever retains all of the brilliant case colors. Bore and action are mint. Very desirable caliber.
