Savage Model 20-26 Magazine rifle in 250-3000 Caliber, Serial #10xxx (mid production 1920-1930), This gun has been hunted and was cut down for either a child or a smaller woman. Whoever put the cut off piece back on the rifle did a wonderful job. It is hard to see unless yuou know the job was done. Metal retains 80-85% original blue while the wood retains all of 90% original finish with several small handling marks and dings (See Photos). Bore is good and the gun shoots well. The #26 sight is worth 500-600 dollars.
Rather hard to find these in the 250- caliber, Juist a shooter or an entry level collector and a heck of a whitetail cartridge. FFL or C&R required. Thanks for Looking.
