Manufactured by Savage Arms Corporation, Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, this is one of the desirable early-production Model 24s, built during the era when these rugged American-made combination guns earned their reputation as one of the finest small-game and farm firearms ever produced. The Model 24 was produced in numerous variants from 1950 through 2010, with the classic .22 LR/.410 configuration becoming one of the most sought-after combinations. This firearm features the classic break-open action with a single trigger, exposed hammer, and barrel selector, allowing the shooter to instantly choose between the precision of the .22 LR rifle barrel and the versatility of the .410 shotgun barrel. Whether you're hunting squirrels, rabbits, grouse, or simply enjoying an afternoon of plinking, few firearms are as practical or enjoyable as a Savage 24. The barrels retain the majority of their original blue with only light edge wear and scattered handling marks consistent with normal field use.
