Savage Model 4 Takedown 22 RF pre War II

Description:
SOLD SOLD SOLD This is a pre WWII rifle made by Savage. It is the model 4 and has nice walnut wood and a checkered wrist. The post war rifles were not checkered. It has a 24 inch barrel and a detachable 5 round magazine. It was designed to shoot shorts, longs and long rifle cartridges. With the ammunition supply problems and the high cost of shorts and longs that is no longer a selling feature. The wood has been refinished and the gun has the minimum of blemishes. The bore is excellent and it has the takedown feature.
