Description: What a wonderful post war Savage Model 99EG in .300 Savage Caliber. This is a high condition model 99 in just about 99% perfect condition in all respects - bluing, case color, bore, stock finish, etc. All original except for the rear sight elevator (and I know that is not original because the gun came to me with it missing and I replaced it). Rifle has 24 inch barrel and schnabel forend which delineates it from a 99R or RS model. Most consider this model as the best deer gun ever made and a contender for top spot along with the Winchester Model 94. We've had many 99's over the years but seldom have we seen one in this minty condition. This rifle could not be made today for twice the price we are asking. SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
