Very attractive Berne K31 military rifle, externally matching, with beech handguard and stock, both the action and stock having been reworked and marked ZH (Zurich Arsenal) and encircled 6 (Berne Arsenal) respectively, complete with original matching-numbered bayonet with scabbard, leather frog, and an excellent double magazine pouch.

Waffenfabrik Bern K31 Swiss military rifle produced from 1933-1958, this example made 1947, with 25.67-inch barrel, cal. 7.5x55 Swiss, SN: 915017, with straight-pull bolt action and beechwood stock. Front sight with protective ears around adjustable post insert and tangent rear sight graduated from 1-15. Full SN: "915017" on left side of receiver, top of bolt and bottom of magazine with the last 3 digits "017" on the barrel shank. "ZH" lightly stamped on tang reflecting rework by Zurich Arsenal. Fitted with externally unmarked beech hand guard and stock without military acceptance, marked with an encircled 6 adjacent to sling recess reflecting Bern Arsenal replacement. Previous ownership paper under buttplate. Brass/steel muzzle cap with acceptance. Military sling dated 55. Complete with original matching bayonet, blade marked "ELSENER", frog dated "35", and double magazine pouch dated 55.
Condition:
VG+ arsenal refurbished as reflected by "ZH" marked tang and Bern replaced stock. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. Comparable condition bayonet and frog. Excellent double magazine pouch.
