Swiss Model 1911 Schmidt-Rubin Carbine
Description: Serial #127791, 7.5mm Swiss, 23 1/4" barrel with a very good, bright bore that has some mild freckling within the grooves. This is a very nice carbine that has matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, bolt, and magazine with the metal retaining 75-80% of the original blue finish that has silvered at the muzzle, on some of the high edges, and faded to plum-brown across the rear of the receiver. The bolt still has its armory bright finish with some light wear marks on the bearing surfaces, overall mild freckling, and the red-brown resin handle is intact. A small and unobtrusive import mark is present on the left side of the receiver along the edge of the stock. The wooden stock and handguard have numerous small handling marks and minor blemishes in the original oil finish, but the Swiss Shield is still crisp and clear on the right side of the butt. The carbine comes with its original lightly worn, but still fully serviceable, brown leather military sling, and an original sheet metal muzzle cover. This is a very good-fine example of a Schmidt-Rubin carbine, and would make a great addition to a collection.
