Top of barrel rear of the rear sight is marked ""New Model 1859"". Receiver is a light grey patina with scattered discoloration noted. Factory stamps are visible right side. Bore is has pitting and frosting present in the grooves, rifling remains strong. Stock is very good with handling wear visible, right side is marked ""L.F.LAFFERTY. F Co.1.PA RIFLES"". Further research is need to find this soldier. Action functions correctly. Consignment
