Description:
Serial #84962, .50-70, 22" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This three groove carbine retains 97-98% of the original blue finish on the barrel, with some mild silvering at the muzzle, and a "50" caliber stamp under the forend. The frame has about 60-70% of the original color case-hardening remaining, with the balance turned to a mild plum-brown patina. The sling bar and ring are finished bright, and there is mottled brown freckling along the lever. The walnut buttstock and forend are in fine-near excellent shape with small handling marks and blemishes throughout, and a faint cartouche on the left side of the wrist. The action lock-up is still tight and functions flawlessly. This is a great looking cartridge converted Sharps carbine with lots of original finish remaining. Antique
