Description:
This Sharps was produced mid war and features a full round barrel with the Sharps markings on the barrel and both sides of the frame. The right side of this carbine is far more legible than the left side which is quite rough. Perhaps from poor storage or simply saddle worn as both the metal and wood is markedly more worn on the left side. Gun features a ladder rear sight and the saddle ring and bar are present. All metal is a dark plum/brown. Action is good. Bore is fine with visible rifling. The Sharps was the most popular Carbine of the Civil War. This one would fit perfect into any Civil War collection.
