This is a pre-owned Sharps model 1863 in .52 caliber with "SHARPS RIFLE MANUFG. CO. HARTFORD CONN" on the barrel, "C. SHARPS PAT. SEPT. 12TH 1848" and "R. S. LAWRENCE PAT. APRIL 1ST 1859" on the receiver and lock None

Metal Condition: Fair with shallow pitting and extensive patina
Wood Condition: "Fair with a number of scratches and chips, commensurate with the age of the rifle
