Shiloh Replica Sharps Model 1874 in 45-70 Government
Description:
This fine Sharps replica was made in Farmingdale, NY before the factory was moved to Big Timber, Montana. The parts on these guns are interchangable with the original Sharps rifles. It has a 30 inch octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore and is chambered for the .45-70 cartridge. The barrel retains 98% of the rust blueing showing only perhaps a minor handling mark or a speck of silvering. The frame, lever, and hammer display strong case colors. The smooth walnut stock remain excellent showing only a few light handling marks and the original steel buttplate is intact. The rifle is sighted with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and a Beech-style combanation front sight and the tang is drilled and tapped for an aperture sight. The gun functions well mechanically with double set triggers and is overall a fine example of an American made rifle.
