"Sharps Meacham Style Sporting Rifle .45-70 (AL9760) Consignment

"

SN: C.33733. Circa 1880's conversion to .45-70 with a 28"" barrel. Bore is very good, dark with strong rifling. Post-Civil War conversion of a percussion carbine to a cartridge ""Buffalo"" rifle. Has a heavy 28"" round barrel marked ""Old Reliable"", double triggers and checkered straight stock. The metal has a smooth brown patina. The stock is very good with typical wear but no cracks or damage. The upper tang is cracked at the screw. Overall the gun has a good Old West look. Consignment.
