Description: 31 inch part octagon barrel with a bright shiny excellent bore. The rifle chambers a 32-40 but the bore seems slightly over indicating that this rifle was setup for breech seating. Barrel retains a good amount of original blue with wear at the high points. The action has a good amount of case color showing with some turning a silvery color. The checkered pistolgrip buttstock and forend are in good condition with some wear to the checkering at the forend and a sliver repair on the front right. German silver Schuetzen buttplate. Sights include windgauge front with a spirit level and a Stevens Pope #110 tang peepsight. Comes with the custom palm rest and seating tool. Zischang emigrated from Germany and worked for Sharps before moving and eventually opening his own shop in Syracuse. His quality style is recognized and coveted by collectors for his fine work.
