30 inch round barrel marked "A.A. KELLOGG NEW HAVEN, CONN.”. Sights include a fixed globe front and a wind gauge vernier sight integrally set in the tang along with Unertl pattern scope bases mounted on the barrel for a scope option. A very good bright shiny bore with strong rifling. The caliber is unknown. You would have to do a chamber cast to determine the actual caliber. The frame features a near full coverage relief engraved floral pattern having a gold inlaid moose in a game scene on the left and a gold inlaid big horn ram in a game scene on the right along with a smooth horn panel inset on each side. The relief engraved floral pattern continues on thesides of the lever. The face of the trigger and safety are checkered. Custom Circassian walnut checkered stocks with the forearm fitted with a horn end cap and the high comb pistol grip buttstock fitted with a hard rubber grip cap and a checkered hard rubber shotgun style buttplate having the Sharps Rifle Company "SRCo" monogram. Condition is excellent overall showing only light wear and handling marks. Very nicely done with exhibition quality embellishments.
