......LAYAWAY?...... .Sharps 52 caliber. Percussion carbine. 22" barrel length. SN: 99524. Falling-block breechloading percussion carbine with tangent rear notch and German silver front blade sights. Blued metal finish with casehardened receiver and walnut mostly "open grained" stock, with normal wear chips and marks. Item uses a single iron barrel band and shows a flat wrist stock with lever latch. Right side of frame marked "R.S. LAWRENCE PAT./APRIL 12TH 1859" and "C. SHARPS' PAT./OCT. 5TH 1852."ly "C. SHARPS' PAT./SEPT. 12TH 1848". Top of barrel shows "NEW MODEL 1863" mark and a "SHARPS RIFLE/MANUFG CO./HARTFORD CONN." mark, ahead of rear sights.
Condition:
Good-VG........ Bore is semi bright with some light patina throughout. Overall metal finish shows remaining blue to receiver area and furniture with some minor scratches and some spotted oxidation. Barrel shows finish loss and abrasions along its length. Wood furniture has handling wear with some chips, dings, and scratches. Chip located to left side of trigger and just in front of the action.. Action is functional with original nipple. Screw heads displaying noirmal use. LOOKS MUCH BETTER IN HAND!.......2nd firearm ships FREE, with this one!.... S/H $60....Thanks...Greg CP
