Untouched Civil War Sharps Model 1863 Percussion Saddle Ring Carbine With Patchbox
Description: Fresh in out of a local estate. The gun is nice and untouched and still a little dusty. Retains a pleasing patina overall. There looks like there might be a good amout of original finish under the patina, however we're not going to clean it up. All markings are clear. Fine mechanical function. Action is nice and crisp. Still has all the priming mechanism in the lock. Fine bore with sharp rifling, way above average for one of these. Wood has some dings and handling marks, there is a crack at the toe of the stock where it must've taken a fall at some point (see last picture). Interesting transitional model featuring the patchbox commonly found on the 1850 models, but well marked NEW MODEL 1863 on the top of the barrel and in the proper C prefix range. We do not see a cartouche in the wood, however the steel parts are properly subinspected. 52 caliber percussion. This is a great original Civil War carbine. The Sharps carbines were prized by both Union and Confederate soldiers alike. Serial number is C18382 ANTIQUE! Buyer pays $45 shipping CONUS, including full insurance and tracking. AK & HI are extra. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, checks, and money orders. ALL CARD PURCHASES ARE SUBJECT TO AN ADDITIONAL 3% CHARGE. Unfortunately we no longer offer lay-away, AT ALL. FULL payment is to be received within 10 days. We make no warranties or guarantees as to the fire-ability or safety of doing so on any of these items. Firearms are not test fired, however we do test the action to see if it functions properly for a dry fire. We do not put any ammo in it or disassemble to check internal parts. We will sometimes take off barrels or stocks in an attempt to prevent damage in shipping. We only sell used guns, and have no way to know how many rounds have been through them. WE DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. ALL FIREARMS, REGARDLESS OF AGE OR FEDERAL ANTIQUE STATUS have to be shipped to a dealer for transfer within NY. Other states are fine, depending on your state laws. We will not ship to a New York, NJ, or CA C&R holder, a standard FFL is required. There are some states in which a C&R handgun MUST be shipped to a dealer, such as MD. Please know your local laws. We are not going to risk OUR livelihood. WE DO NOT OFFER ANY IN STORE PICK UP, EVERYTHING WILL BE SHIPPED.
