Very Early & Scarce Pre Civil War Sharps Brass Mounted Model 1852 "Slant Breech" Carbine

Description:
 A Very Early & Scarce Pre Civil War SharpsBrass Mounted Model 1853 "Slant Breech" Carbine In Nice Untouched Condition. Serial # 8531, made from 1853 - 1855. All original and complete. These were made for the "Sharps"s Manufacturing Company" by "Robbins & Lawrence, Of Windsor Vermont. The carbine has nice metal and very clear markings throughout. It also has nice edges. All of the metal on the carbine has an even and natural dark chocolate brown patina on it which is mixing with some original brown. It has very good and untouched brass fittings with a wonderful darkening patina on them. This includes the barrel band, patch box, and butt plate. The wood on the carbine is nice throughout with a dark natural color and grain. It shows light even wear in areas from use. It has a nice action and boe in it. This Is A Fine Looking Untouched Example Of A Very Early & Scarce Pre Civil War Sharps Brass Mounted Model 1852 "Slant Breech" Carbine!
