Imported by KBI, Inc., Harrisburg, PA. A splendid example of frontier craftsmanship and old-world reproduction, this Armi Sport Sharps sporting rifle wears its history with pride. Chambered in .45-70 Government and fitted with a 32-inch octagonal barrel, this rifle was refinished by Turnbull in 2011. It’s a tasteful, period-correct upgrade that enhances appearance and turns the eye of the discerning collector.

Features include a dovetail blade front sight, dovetail ladder rear sight (upper tang drilled & tapped for a rear sight), and a crisp double set trigger for precise, predictable control. The action rides smooth and sure, representing the classic falling-block feel that made the original Sharps a favorite from buffalo plains to big-game camps.

Turnbull’s 2011 work is tasteful and period-correct: bone-charcoal color case-hardening on the receiver, hammer, lever, and buttplate; a deep rust-blued barrel; and charcoal-blued breech block and screws. Only minor storage and handling marks are present, consistent with careful use and display.
