C. SHARPS MODEL 1874 .45-70 OCTAGON SPORTER, made in Big Timber, Montana, this fine rifle features a pistol grip stock with cheek piece, shotgun butt, double set triggers and a 30” heavy octagon barrel. The wood is a really attractive piece of nicely figured and contrasting color/grain walnut of a very rich, deep color. It also has checkered steel butt plate and an accent line on the cheek piece. The barrel is equipped with a Lawrence ladder rear barrel sight with slide and comes with a long range vernier tang sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation as well as a globe front sight that will take apertures. The barrel top has the attractive and authentic “OLD RELIABLE” stamping. This rifle is in about new condition and weighs approx. 12 lbs. This rifle would cost nearly $3000 if ordered from the factory and there would be a considerable wait time. This one is priced at $2650.
