Description:
This Farmingdale, NY custom Sharps reproduction falling block carbine is a Shiloh Rifle Mfg Co "Old Reliable" in a 45 2/10 (.45-70 Govt). The serial number is 4159. It has a case-hardened receiver, a heavy shrouded pin front sight, a full buckhorn adjustable rear sight, a tang mounted long range peep sight, a smooth semi-Schnabel forearm, a 24" round barrel, and a standard grade military buttstock. The bluing is in overall very good condition with only some slight wear at the muzzle. The wrap-around butt plate does show some freckling in places. The forearm and buttstock show only slightly discernable handling wear in a couple of places. The bore is bright and shiny with very fine rifling. .45-70 Government
