About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. All firearms transactions will be handled by a local Gun shop and will follow all firearms laws. All firearms purchased will be shipped by them to your F.F.L. I do my best to price my items fairly. If you think that my price is out of line, please make an offer. I don't have much room for negotiation, but I will work with you if I can. I do not have many items to sell. Please keep checking my items and I will try to add regularly to my listings. I hope to find good homes for these items that are special to me. Please read descriptions and terms, I will endeavor to be accurate.
Shiloh Sharps Montana Roughrider, 50-100 Heavy Octagon Barrel, New in Box
Description: A Beautiful Shiloh Sharps model 1874, Montana Roughrider in 50-100. I ordered this rifle on August 14, 1995, almost 29 years ago. I patiently waited, enjoying the anticipation waiting brings, until it was delivered 4 years, 11 months and 3 days later. It came packed in a cardboard box with an outer sleeve, and that was packed into a wooden box for delivery (see pictures). According to the Hang Tag, this rifle was test fired before it left Big Timber, Montana. I did not order semi-fancy walnut, but it looks like the rifle has it. It also was ordered with a French Gray receiver and curved steel buttplate, a Pewter Forend, and Brass Escutchions. This rifle has been untouched since the day I put it in the vault, except for being wiped down twice a year. It has never been fired since it left Montana. It comes with the original invoice, the catalog from the year of production (2000), the owners manual, the warranty card, and other miscellaneous documents. It is a time capsule from the year 2000. There is one tiny mark on the buttstock just behind the grip heel. It is so tiny that I was unaware of it until I was reviewing the pictures. Other than that, this rifle is flawless to my eyes. If you have been considering the purchase of a .50 caliber Sharps, this may be the one for you. Buyer pays Insurance and Shipping costs.
