This is a Swiss SIG AMT semi-automatic rifle, serial number 16171, chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Winchester), representing one of approximately 3,000-4,000 examples imported into the United States between 1969 and the early 1980s, this example imported by Benet Arms.
