Colt-Sharps custom in .338 Winchester Magnum by the late Fred Depoy of Charleston, WV with a 26" Douglas barrel with banded ramp front sight and banded sling stud. Bore is excellent. Built on a Colt-Sharps action serial number CS2166. Color case hardened action with vibrant colors. Stocked in English Walnut with point pattern checkering, a pancake shadow line cheekpiece, two screw inletted buttstock sling stud with hidden screws, and an ebony forend tip. Topped with Lenard Brownell quick release 1" rings. Also included is a peep sight for the rear scope ring base. LOP - 13 1/2" over an Old English pad. Weight - 7lb 12oz
This is a nice gun and in good condition showing limited use. Mr. Depoy was production manager at Douglas Barrels for many years. He passed in 2020. The Colt-Sharps rifles were produced from 1970-1977. Production was discontinued due to the high cost of producing these fine actions. Only 502 were manufactured.
