Used Jos. Hambrusch of Ferlach 7x57R Kipplauf (single shot break action) rifle with a 23 ¾” Bohler steel barrel. Length of pull of 13 13/16” to a ½” Mershon “White Line” rubber pad.
Prince of Wales stock with a horn grip cap, Mannlicher style full stock with a horn tip, double set triggers, auto-safety, Kersten lock/third bite, bolstered action, disc set striker, matted solid rib with a brass bead on a ramp, one standing and one folding rear leaves, raised line cocking indicator, gold inlaid “Sicher” ahead of the small button style safety catch, beaded edge pancake cheekpiece, sling swivels, checkered wrist and forend piece with mullered borders, and a Deeley forend release latch. Wetzlar 4x36 scope on claw mounts with a post style German number 1 reticle. The claw mounts are set up such that the iron sights can be used with scope mounted.
Engraved with German scroll and sculpted flowers on the action bolstering. Case color hardened action and furniture. Some case colors remain. Straight grained stock across the wrist with some figure. Stock and checkering show scratches and compression marks from field use. Excellent plus bore with sharp and crisp lands. Excellent bluing on the barrel with evidence of minor pin prick oxidation. Optic remains clear and sharp. Top lever right of center and the rifle is on face.
