Engraved Ludwig Borovnik of Austria Single Shot Stalking Rifle in 7 mm Magnum with 1 1/2-5 Scope in Claw Mounts. AAA Fancy Walnut Stock.
Description: Offered is a terrific Single Shot Stalking rifle from Ferlach Austria. This is a break open side plated case hardened box lock that is profusely engraved with fine scroll. The barrel is octagon at the back and round from the forearm to the front tip. The wood is AAA fancy walnut. The matte solid rib is marked "EXKLUSIV JAGER- MATHEWS & BOUCHER, INC. ROCHESTER, N.Y." and the underside of the barrel under the forearm is marked "EXKLUSIV JAGER- MADE BY/LUDWIG BOROVNIK FERLACH AUSTRIA." High beaded blade front sight, notch rear sight and 1 3/4x5x Redfield scope. The action features an extensive fine scroll engraving which extends to the break lever, forearm hardware and trigger guard. Plain trigger and automatic tang safety. The barrel and forearm are numbered to the gun. The nicely figured high comb pistol grip stock and forearm feature multi-point checkering, a horn forend tip, cheekpiece, grip cap, sling swivels and solid Pachmayr White Line Recoil pad. The rifle retains 98% original blue finish with some mild thinning near the muzzle. The action retains 99% plus original case colors. The wood is also excellent. These Austrian stalking rifles seldom come up for sale. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase.
