This Wesley Richards marked Martini was produced by the famous German company They made high-end air guns and competition target 22s pre-war. The HWZ is on the top of the breach as the maker, but Wesley Richards plastered his name and address on the barrel and side of the receiver, Even though they made their own martinis, this one's a little unique, slightly smaller with a sold Steel peep sight one pice mount part of the back of the receiver. Unlike English model screwed into the wood usually. Wesley Richards being a top end gun maker must've been impressed with the German variant of this Martini action to put their name on it. It's more of a unicorn and there's one good article on it line about it. If you look it up, it's worth the read.THE condition as well Used it's got it's number of bumps with pictures showing gouges, but it's in original condition, but starting to plumb out with spots of Of old mild oxidation, and a small crack around the fore end take down screw. Has the original sight which is usually never found, in the top rail on barrel is dovetailed FOR 3/8 OR 11 MM SCOPE MOUNTS last photo of T16 Weaver target scope, which could be had with mounts for an additional 300.
