"Chinese SKS carbine 7.62×39mm (L2025-14992)

Description:
"Serial number 12248587. Made in 1967 at State Arsenal 296 in Jianshe (aka ""Triangle 26""), so this is NOT a commercial Chinese SKS - it is an original People's Liberation Army surplus Type 56 military carbine that was laundered through Norinco & imported into the USA as a commercial sporting rifle during the early 1990s. The 20.5-inch thread-mounted short collar barrel has a bright bore with strong visible rifling. Features a late production milled receiver, a late milled rear sight base, a late production 2-piece gas cylinder & a stamped trigger group. Equipped with a U-notched stock ferrule & a Catalpa laminated wood buttstock that is cut with a 6.25-inch groove for the 12-inch SKS folding cruciform spike bayonet despite the fact that the gun has been neutered & therefore cannot mount the bayonet. KSI import marked on the left side of the receiver. Comes with a cleaning kit in the buttstock.
