"Vietnam Bring-Back Chinese Factory 26 Type 56 SKS 7.62x39 (L2026-06823)
Description:
"Serial no. 10096659. Manufactured circa 1965 at Factory 26 (Jianshe Arsenal), chambered in 7.62x39mm,20.5"" round barrel. The bore is bright with light frosting noted in the grooves, while rifling remains strong and visible. Serial numbers on the receiver and stock are matching, while the dust cover and magazine share matching serial number “17005." The carbine shows honest handling and service wear consistent with field use in Vietnam, and notably remains non-import marked, supporting its Vietnam bring-back status. The right side of the stock inside the finger grooves is marked “NIX." Factory 26 Type 56 SKS carbines were widely supplied to North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong forces during the Vietnam War and saw extensive combat use throughout the conflict. Bring-back examples retaining battlefield wear and lacking import marks are especially desirable as tangible artifacts of the war. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
