Description:
CH5: China SKS type 56, 7.62x39. Semi-auto 10 shot. M21 No. series. This was issued to the NVA from China without any of the normal Chinese markings. It came directly after the NVA SKS factory was bombed and they needed an additional outlet for the SKS without markings linking it to China. NOT import marked, mostly matching numbers, except receiver cover. It was very common to have war time guns mismatched because of the group cleanings that were done by the soldiers. Metal is nice for a war gun! Blade bayonet, milled receiver, bolt assembly, trigger group and bayonet lug. Heavy barrel lug. Identical to Russian SKS of the mid 50's. Wood has a few light dings and looks to have been refinished at one time. This is a Viet Nam bring back and has all the original paperwork. Not many SKS’s have paperwork like this one and it is the very uncommon M21 No. gun. Don’t confuse this with the later commercial variant M21 made for the U.S. export market. This gun comes out of the personal collection of YooperJ. YooperJ has been an active collector of military guns for over 30 years. Most of these are one of a kind or a slight variation within a model. When they are gone, they’re GONE!
