The SKS is a semi-automatic carbine designed by Soviet small arms designer Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov in the 1940s. The SKS was first produced in the Soviet Union but was later widely exported and manufactured by various nations. Its distinguishing characteristics include a permanently attached folding bayonet and a hinged, fixed magazine. As the SKS lacked select-fire capability and its magazine was limited to ten rounds. The SKS was manufactured at Tula Arsenal from 1949 to 1958, and at the Izhevsk Arsenal from 1953 to 1954. This receiver is stamped 1953 and the classic Tula "rootbeer" stock is stamped 1954 and was restamped to number match. Appears to be factory done. The blade bayonet and the gas block shows it to be made between 1952 and 1956. This is a new, unfired, in the box with all original accesories model. We are talking original box, pamphlet, oil bottle&case, stripper clips/clean kit&case, and sling. Don't miss out on this as you don't see them in this condition anymore.
