Description:
Standard configuration and all-matching Russian made Tula Arsenal SKS semi-automatic rifle in 7.62x39mm caliber, made in 1952, SN: RH226628, with 20.5-inch barrel, height-adjustable post front sight and tangent rear sight graduated 1-10 for range. Top of receiver bridge marked w/ Tula Arsenal arrow w/in 5-pointed star and year marking 1952 followed by Cyrillic “r”. All matched to originally applied SN: ??1618. The left side of receiver shows later applied import number “RH226628” with other markings as ATF-required. Fitted with hardwood stock, matching dated and numbered "1952/ ??1618" left side of buttstock, military-style finish, and blued metal trapdoor buttplate. Ten-round fixed magazine with hinged floorplate for stripper clip loading and folding spike-bayonet. Complete with an original green khaki sling.
Condition:
EXC original condition with minimal handling marks and scuffs as often found on the early production, bulk-imported rifles from 50 years ago. Salt blued parts with at least 98% of their bright original finish. Crisp, in-the-white bolt. Bright bayonet with unpolished in-the-white blade. Khaki sling as-new. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A wonderful, all-matching, and all-original Russian made SKS rifle with sling from the Tula Arsenal in 1952, no longer importable into the United States.
