The Model 1854 is the first modern-lever action from Smith & Wesson commemorating the year when the original founders of the company patented their first lever-action rifle. The rifle combines both traditional and modern features and sports a large lever loop for use with gloves and a removable magazine tube along with a side loading gate in the receiver for topping off the magazine. A receiver-mounted 1913 Picatinny rail also allows for quick and easy optics mounting and is paired with a threaded barrel for use with suppressors and other aftermarket muzzle devices.

This special vortex package features the standard 1854 rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester with wood furniture that comes equipped with a Vortex Crossfire HD 2-7x32 scope. The Crossfire HD 2-7x32 features a second focal plane design along with an illuminated Dead-Hold 2A BDC (MOA) reticle and is backed by Vortex‚s lifetime warranty. The magazine tube has a 6-round capacity.
