An Early Civil War U.S. Military Issued Smith Carbine 

Description:
An Early Civil War U.S. Military Issued Smith Carbine Serial #3,891 In Fine Untouched Condition. All matching numbers. All original and complete. The carbine has fine metal, markings, and edges. The barrel on the carbine has excellent original factory blue throughout. The frame and hammer retain lots of their original case colors on them. The trigger guard, barrel band, and butt plate all retain most of their original blue color on them. All screws are fine with their original blue color on them. The wood on the carbine is fine throughout with nice edges. There is a very clear "U.S. Inspectors Cartouche" on the back side. The carbine has an excellent plus bore & very tight action inside it. This Is A Very Early & Fine Example Of A U.S. Civil War Military Issued Smith Carbine That Would Be A Very Nice Addition To Any Collection!
