EARLY SMITH PATENT CIVIL WAR CARBINE SERIAL NUMBER 3
Description:
22 inch round barrel with an excellent bright shiny bore with sharp rifling. Barrel retains most all bright blue.Original sights. Frame has about 95% case color that are dimming slightly. Original saddle ring. Overall gun is in very nice condition with an excellent cartouche on the stock. Typical light handling mars. Buttplate has turned mostly a brown color with traces of case color. This is a fine gun and perhaps the best Smith carbine I have had.
