MODEL 1865 SPENCER BURNSIDE CONTRACT CARBINE
Description: 20 inch round barrel with 3-groove rifled bore chambered in 56-50 RF caliber. Good bore with some good shine but scattered fine roughness throughout. Sights include a post blade front and flip up carbine rear. Barrel is a brown patina with a few scattered spots of oxidation. Receiver retains most of a glossy re-blued finish as do hammer and lever. Original saddle ring is present. Various inspector marks and the number 48 on the lever. Wood looks a little rough with some handling mars and abrasions but is sound and solid.
