"Serial no. 013220. Manufactured circa 1980–1981 by Springfield Armory Inc., chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62 NATO, with a 22"" round barrel. The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. This early-production M1A is fitted with a desirable U.S.G.I. bolt marked “7790186/HRT A14/ALZ." The rifle remains in overall very good condition, with the stock having received a coat of varnish and showing light handling wear. Collectors often refer to these early Springfield Armory M1A rifles as “Silver Era" guns due to their extensive use of genuine U.S.G.I. components during the company's early production years.
