"WWII Inland M1A1 Paratrooper Carbine .30 Carbine (L2025-09705) Consignment

Description:
"Serial No. 726669, made late 1942, .30 Carbine, 18" round barrel marked “INLAND MFG. DIV. / GENERAL MOTORS / 4-43. Equipped with a Type I milled front sight marked “N" and a front barrel band marked “UI". The rear sight has been upgraded to a Type III adjustable sight, marked “I.R.C.O. The “Fat Boy" pistol grip retains a faint Ordnance escutcheon, and the high wood folding stock is in very good overall condition, showing light handling marks but remaining structurally sound. The leather cheek pad and brass rivets remain intact, with a well-aged patina that complements its wartime service character. Action is smooth and functions correctly, and the carbine comes complete with its CMP box and paperwork. A fine and increasingly difficult-to-find example of a WWII U.S. M1A1 paratrooper carbine, designed for use by airborne units and featuring correct early Inland components. Consignment
