Springfield ~ M1A ~ Standard ~ 7.62x51MM Nato ~ 1981 Production

Description:
This M1A Standard from Springfield is a civilian version of the classic M14 rifle fitted with GI parts. This example is chambered in 7.62x51 mm Nato with a 22" barrel, fitted with a classic long slotted flash suppressor. The front sight is a blade set between two protective ears dovetailed and set screwed to a base that is integral to the flash hider. The rear sight is a fully adjustable aperture set between protective ears. The stock is one piece walnut with a semi-pistol grip, straight comb stock with the factory sling swivel stud at the bottom of the forend and a fixed sling swivel at the rear. The upper handguard is a brown fiberglass. This gun remains in excellent condition and comes with a single 10 round GI magazine. Serial 016499. 7.62mm

Chambers: 10+1 semi auto.
Metal Condition: Light wear on the flash hider with contact wear on the receiver from the op rod. Overall about 98% remaining.
Wood Condition: A couple very small dings in the belly of the stock with no other visible marks.
Bore Condition: Bright bore with very strong rifling.
Barrels: 22" barrel.
Triggers: Single trigger.
Stock Dimensions:
LOP 13".
Fore End: Smooth walnut.
Butt Pad: Metal.
Sights: "Military blade, aperture.
