"Springfield Armory M1A Semi-Auto Rifle with Vietnam-Era Barrel .308 (L2026-06435)
Description:
"Serial no. 414458. Manufactured circa 2017–2018 by Springfield Armory Inc., chambered in .308 Winchester / 7.62 NATO, fitted with a 22"" U.S.G.I. barrel marked “P SAK-7790190-12-68-8095308." The bore is bright and shiny with strong, well-defined rifling noted throughout. The rifle remains in overall excellent condition, showing only light handling impressions. The bolt is marked “7790186/TRW-ZJ," while the stock retains a handsome DOD-style cartouche. A standout feature of this rifle is its genuine Vietnam-era U.S.G.I. SAK barrel, manufactured by Saco-Lowell Automotive Division in December 1968. SAK-marked barrels are widely regarded among M14 enthusiasts as some of the finest military-production barrels produced during the Vietnam War period, prized for their quality, durability, and accuracy. Combined with the TRW bolt and military-style stock, this rifle closely replicates the appearance and handling characteristics of a service M14 while retaining the advantages of the commercial M1A platform. An excellent example of a Vietnam-era M14 clone incorporating desirable U.S.G.I. components. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
