This Korean War era Inland M1A1 U.S. paratrooper carbine has a barrel date of 11-43 ( November 1943). It was most likely assembled at the Rock Issland Arsenal during the Korean War. The original Inland 30 carbine caliber barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The trigger group, operating rod, and bolt are Inland. The gun retains approx. 98% of its parkerized finish. The MIA! stock is fine with a amall almost unnoticable pepair at the top left in the bolt face area. The 4-rivet handguard is fine. The only stock marking is RI over 3 on he butt of the pistol grip. The buttplate has the expected numbers and letter cast in it. The rivets on the cheekpiece are correct and the oiler is present. The front band is an unmarked type 1. The rear sight is a Type III by the I.R. CO. which is correct for an Inland. The rifle is equipped with an Inland AI marked magazine. The action functions correctly. This fine Korean War era Inland M1A1 paratrooper carbine is ready for your collection.
