Springfield Armory M1A .308
SOLD
Description:
Descended from the M14 rifle, the M1A is a civilian-legal semi-auto version of that revered U.S. Military rifle. From 1959 to 1970, the M14 served with distinction as the standard issue rifle of the United States military after the revered M1 Garand. Springfield Armory began producing this famous rifle as a semi-auto version called the M1A in 1974. This example is built from a Springfield produced receiver using U.S. G.I. parts. It has a 22 inch 1:11 twist carbon steel barrel. A government issue stamped M14 walnut stock. A two-stage National Match trigger. M14 issue front and rear G.I. iron sights and a post-ban Springfield Armory produced flash hider which does not have a bayonet lug. The bolt is a U.S. issue TRW bolt with "7790186" lot number. The barrel is bright with sharp lands and grooves. The stock has a few minor nicks and dings but is in otherwise fantastic condition. This rifle comes with a surplus M14 sling and one 20 round detachable box magazine produced by Check-mate industries. Well-suited for a day at the range, competition or hanging on your wall in front of an American flag; this is a wonderful, classic American rifle.
