It is getting tougher and tougher to find a really clean Trapdoor rifle that has not been cut down or messed with. Here is a wonderful example. It is a standard model 1884 with 32" barrel that retains almost all of the original factory blue with some light plum. Block retains almost all of the bright case colors. Fire blue barrel band retainer springs and most on US marked bands as well. All the original blackening on lock and hammer. Original ramrod. 75% original high luster blue on steel US marked but plate. Mirror bore but these guns have shallow rifling and often mike out at .460-462 for use with paper patch bullets so you will have to custom cast bullets for best accuracy. Even retains all the original blue on trigger guard. Super strong SWP 1889 cartouche. Script P under wrist. Most of the fire blue on stock / lock bolt heads. Beautiful stock with no cracks or chips, just some light expected wear. Serial #469216. 1884 US stamped on breech block.
